Cambridge University Press will cease publication of the European Journal of Anaesthesiology from completion of Volume 25 / 2008. From Issue 1 of Volume 26 / 2009, the Journal will be published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.

Cambridge first published the EJA in 2005, and has significantly increased international dissemination in both print and fully-searchable electronic formats. Cambridge introduced the electronic publication of individual articles in advance of print Issue publication, and the EJA now reaches a global audience through Cambridge's active involvement in such initiatives as the UN's HINARI programme.
