Rutger Claassen is assistant professor of political philosophy in the Institute of Political Science at Leiden University. He received his PhD in 2008 at Utrecht University for a dissertation on the moral limits of the market. His main research interests are on the intersection of ethics and economics, issues of distributive justice, and the capability approach. He is currently working on a three-year project funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) on the regulation of markets. E-mail: [email protected].
