Rutger Claassen is assistant professor of political philosophy in the Institute of Political Science at Leiden University. He received his PhD in 2008 at Utrecht University for a dissertation on the moral limits of the market. His main research interests are on the intersection of ethics and economics, issues of distributive justice, and the capability approach.
