N. Lee Orr is Professor of Music at Georgia State University. He has published in the areas of nineteenth-century American choral and organ music, most recently with a biography of Dudley Buck and two editions of Buck's music for A-R Editions. He currently edits the organ articles for the upcoming New Grove Dictionary of American Music and is working on a study of the democratization of American Music.
