Edward K. Muller is professor of history and urban studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He is coauthor and editor of several books, including Before Renaissance: Planning in Pittsburgh, 1889–1943 (2006) and DeVoto's West: History, Conservation, and the Public Good (2004).
