Ann Norton Greene is in the Department of History and Sociology of Science at the University of Pennsylvania. She has written on veterinary medicine and urban wildlife, with publications including Horses at Work: Harnessing Power in Industrial America (2008). She is beginning a project on science, energy, and technology in Progressive Era agriculture.
