John A. Heitmann
John A. Heitmann is a professor and chairman of the history department at the University of Dayton. He is the author of numerous publications on science based technology and industry including his book, The Modernization of the Louisiana Sugar Industry, 1830–1910 (1987). Currently he is working on the history of chemical towns, including communities located in Louisiana.
