Wayne G. Broehl, Jr., is Benjamin Ames Kimball Professor of the Science of Administration at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth. He is the author of numerous books and articles in business history and is presently writing a history of Cargill, the Minneapolis-based multinational grain-trading firm.
