Nancy J. Rosenbloom is Professor of history at Canisius College, Buffalo, New York. She is author of Women in American History Since 1880: A Documentary Reader (forthcoming) and has published on film and censorship in the Progressive Era. Her current research focuses on the life and work of Sonya Levien, one of the most influential women screenwriters in early Hollywood.
