Edward P. Kohn is assistant professor of United States history and chair of American Studies at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. Author of several articles on Theodore Roosevelt's New York political career, including one in this journal in January 2006, Dr. Kohn is finishing “Hot Time in the Old Town: Theodore Roosevelt, William Jennings Bryan, and New York's Killer Heat Wave of 1896,” scheduled to be published by Basic Books in summer 2010.
