3 It was therefore unnecessary to accuse Nibby of having written his note on the wall in Analisi, ii. 511 from memory; and the description of the two reservoirs (not one) given by Nibby, though not very clear, does not contain the statement that they were on the hill of Praeneste. There is as a fact another on this hill, not far from Porta S. Martino, which neither writer mentions.
