We show through analysis of personal advertisements that
age preferences for a homosexual or lesbian partner are similar to
differences found between men and women in age preferences for
a opposite-sex partner. Such data call into question the claim by
Kenrick & Keefe (1992) that the sex differences in age selectivity in
mate selection are governed by reproductive strategies.
