23 The Court recalled in this judgment (Constitutional Court of Italy, Case No. 238/2014, Judgment, 22 October 2014, para. 3.4) that: “The first [Article 2] is the substantive provision, in the fundamental principles of the Constitutional Charter, that safeguards the inviolability of fundamental human rights, including – this is crucial in the present case – human dignity.
