She recently won the Nevitt Sanford Award from the International Society for Political Psychology recognizing her work over nearly 10 years as the Chair of the International Steering Committee for the IEA Civic Education Study. a2 faculty research associate in the department of human development and co-director of Advocates for Children —a living-learning program for students at the University of Maryland. She has worked on both phases of the IEA Civic Education Study and is co-author of the international report of the findings from the older adolescents.
