References

1 L.s.9 renders άσημεἱωтоς ‘without signposts’, but о.ν. σημε࿖оν makes no reference to the Demertrian sense, though the meaning ‘milestone’ is cited from Plutarch and Herodian (cf. also σημειóω and init.)

2 The reference in § 108 to γεíбоίς… καì тρίγλúøоίς καί πоρøúρας πλαтεíαίς may then be specifically Roman. L.S.9 cites πоρøúρα πλαтεîα from Polyb. X 26, 1, but wrongly.
